Additional Teaching Posts For Donegal Schools
Additional teaching posts have been allocated to two local schools, according to Donegal North East Fianna Fáil TD Niall Blaney. 29/01/10The schools are Scoil Naomh Fionan, Whitecastle, Quigleys Point, and Scoil Mhuire, Ramelton.
The news was confirmed to Deputy Blaney by his colleague Batt O Keeffe, TD, Minister for Education & Science.
“In the renewed programme for government, a commitment was made to allocate teachers to schools that had lost out on a teaching post because their enrolment numbers were one, two or three students short of the qualifying number.”
“I am delighted that two schools in Donegal North East have qualified, Scoil Naomh Fionan, Whitecastle, Quigleys Point and Scoil Mhuire, Ramelton.”
“I know the news will be welcomed by the schools board of managements. The additional post allocation will help them meet the demands of the increased enrolments,” concluded Niall Blaney TD.
