Blaney welcomes approval for new Carrigans School
Local Fianna Fáil TD Niall Blaney has welcomed the confirmation from his colleague the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Science, Mary Coughlan TD, that a new school building has been approved for Monreagh National School in Carrigans. 15/04/10The new, two-classroom building will facilitate a change of location for the school. It will comprise two school rooms and ancillary facilities on a green field site.
The site has been provided by the Church authorities. Welcoming the confirmation, Deputy Blaney said: “I am delighted that the Tánaiste was in a position to provide funding for this new school building. The case has been outstanding for some time now and I am glad to see it come to finality. I know that the news will be welcomed by the school’s students and board of management,” he said.
